Lease to John, Earl of Dunmore, 1771 July 12.

A lease between Alexander McClure and fifty other persons and the Earl of Dunmore for a tract of fifty one thousand acres on the east shore of Lake Champlain. The fifty one men owned the land and leased it to the Earl for one large rent that was to be divided equally. The lease provides a listing of all of the names of the property owners and a description of the land. All fifty one land owners signed the back of the lease.
